Who we are

AlmiPTE is operated by AlmiWorld. If you have any question about your data or this policy, email us at almiworld@almiworld.com.

What we collect

• Your account email — to create your account, sign you in, and send service emails (such as email verification and password resets).
• Your password, hashed — we store only a one-way hash, never your password in plain text, and we cannot read it back.
• Your practice data — the attempts you make, your answers, and the AI feedback generated for them, so you can see your history and progress.
• Billing information — handled by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not store your card details; Stripe does. We keep a record of your subscription status.

Why we use it

We use this data only to run the service: to operate your account, save your practice history, generate feedback, and manage your subscription. We do not use it for advertising.

AI processing of your answers

To give feedback on Writing and Speaking, the text or audio transcript of your answer is sent to third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI and Anthropic) so they can transcribe and score it. We send only what is needed to generate your feedback. Reading and Listening are scored automatically by us against fixed rules and are not sent to an AI provider.

How it's stored

Your data is held in our database, passwords are hashed, and it is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. We keep it for as long as your account is active.

We never sell your data

We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone. We share it only with the service providers we need to run AlmiPTE — our payment processor (Stripe), the AI providers that generate feedback, and our hosting and email providers — and only for that purpose.

Your choices

• Delete your account — you can ask us to delete your account and the practice data attached to it. Email almiworld@almiworld.com and we will remove it.
• Access a copy — you can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Cookies — we use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Children

AlmiPTE is intended for people preparing for the PTE Academic exam and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
