The whole test, the way Pearson runs it

PTE Academic is one integrated session of about two hours — three parts, in this order, scored 10–90 by AI with human oversight on some tasks.

Part 1
≈ 76–84 min
Speaking & Writing
Read Aloud, Repeat Sentence, Describe Image, Re-tell Lecture, Answer Short Question, plus the two 2025 tasks (Summarize Group Discussion, Respond to a Situation), then Summarize Written Text and Write Essay.
Part 2
≈ 22–30 min
Reading
Fill in the Blanks (reading & writing and drag-and-drop), Multiple Choice (single and multiple answers), and Re-order Paragraphs.
Part 3
≈ 31–39 min
Listening
Summarize Spoken Text, Multiple Choice, Fill in the Blanks, Highlight Correct Summary, Select Missing Word, Highlight Incorrect Words, and Write from Dictation.
